Turning over the Page records this dark past of authoritarianism history with mild and poetic words that drift over dreamy imagery. It utilizes soft and light images to create a delicate and faint emotion, treading lightly through a heavy past. In reminiscent of the surrealism created by Gabriel García Márquez, Olga Tokarczuk, and Salvador Dalí, emerging creators Fang Yin and Fang An lead readers into a fractured time and space, using literary and aesthetic devises to show a side of forbidden history.
作者介紹
Fang Yin (芳因) and Fang An (芳安) are illustrators based in Taichung. Their works combine daily life experiences and imagination and depict a warm and lively imagery. With warm and bright brush strokes, they hope that their works could heal themselves and others. Instagram: fanganshen
