Leaving the Forest of Fog
內容介紹
1st place in the “Picture Stories: The Story of an Island” Human Rights Education Picture Book Program
In a peaceful forest, the animals lived happily until clouds and clouds of heavy fog settled, shrouding the forest entirely. The animals became frightened and isolated in the dusky and gloomy woods and panicked to find a way out.
Leaving the Forest of Fog is an allegory reflecting the hardships and perseverance during Taiwan’s authoritarianism history, paying homage to those who have suffered on the path to freedom. Joining the animals on their quest, we follow the elegant strokes and somber colors to the liberation of truth, searching for the meaning of transitional justice, until we can break through and uncover our eyes from the allegorical fog of fabricated history.
