How Old Is the Apple?
蘋果幾歲呢?
Overview
How old is the apple? How old is the running dog? How old is the light from the lamp? How old is the cake? How old is the candle? And me? How old am I?
Inspired by conversations with her own children, award-winning author Hsia Hsia uses vivid words to respond to children’s endless question. Working with renowned illustrator Soupy Tang who specializes in capturing details of the daily life, the words become mellow colored imagery of animals and everyday objects, the playmates and guardians of children.
Filled with lively rhythm and warm blessings, these seemingly pointless questions exhibit how time, emotions and the anticipation of birthdays and growing up is seen through the eyes of small children. No matter how old you are, please open this book and join in on this simple yet philosophical reading journey!
