Born in 1995, IKO (井子) graduated from the Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. In 2020, he began to creating comics, and has been living in Japan since 2022 to study comics. Her favorite author is Kenzaburo Oe. She loves apple pie and pour over coffee made from light-roasted Kenyan coffee beans. She is also the author of a short comics collections, Sea of Evaporation.

A surreal journey of self-awakening, where reality and dreams intertwine, unlocking the long-buried soul of a woman caught in a monotonous life.   Lin Lu, once a researcher in Antarctica, returns to her hometown to care for her mother, who is in a vegetative state. For seven years, she leads a dull life as a high school teacher, her spirit numbed by routine. However, when she reunites with Yu Chen, a free-spirited, unconventional truck driver, Lin Lu’s world begins to shift. Together, they traverse the line between reality and dream.   In Lin Lu’s recurring lucid dream, she awakens on an island surrounded by a vast water body with a giant elephant-shaped rock. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot escape. After Yu Chen joins her in the dream, the boundary between dream and reality blurs. In a climactic moment, they release an elephant that leading Lin Lu to a profound awakening that frees her long-repressed soul. With stylistic influences from Japanese gekiga, this story blends surrealism and deep emotional layers.
